Adrienne harborth teacher video viral on Twitter

Adrienne Harborth, a music teacher at Gray Elementary in Lamar Consolidated Independent School District, has been accused of filming herself in sexually explicit videos while on campus during school hours. The videos, which have gone viral, show Harborth shaking her bare breasts and buttocks in a classroom and a bathroom at the school, with her school ID badge visible.

Community leaders are demanding that Harborth’s teaching certificate be revoked and that she be banned from teaching in the district. Quanell X and Candice Matthews, community activists, held a press conference outside the school, calling for the Texas Education Agency (TEA) to take action against Harborth.

Matthews confirmed with district officials that Harborth was no longer employed by the district, but for reasons unrelated to the videos. She stated that the administration did not want the details of the videos to be made public, fearing that it would undermine their reputation.

Matthews emphasized that the community expects the district to take concrete actions to prevent Harborth from teaching in another district. “This is how demented teachers go from one district to the next,” she said. “So that’s why we are calling this out. We are not going to sweep this under the rug.”

Quanell X demanded that Lamar CISD officials ban Harborth from teaching in the district, advise TEA to revoke her teaching certification, and have law enforcement interview her students to ensure she hadn’t done anything inappropriate.

Lamar CISD is investigating Harborth’s actions and will report any criminal behavior or conduct violating the Texas Educator’s Code of Ethics to the appropriate agencies. Harborth’s teaching certificate, first issued in 2018, shows she is currently under investigation by the TEA.

Community leaders are calling for the district to protect Texas children from Harborth’s potential future employment. “Let’s make sure the school district protects the state of Texas children so she can’t run from one district to another seeking employment because it’s not in her personnel file what she was terminated for, or why she’s banned from the district,” said Quanell X.

The incident highlights the ongoing issue of sexual misconduct among Texas teachers. Texas Scorecard has reported on dozens of Texas teachers charged with sexual misconduct involving students.
